LEGENDARY

DEVELOPMENTS

Scalax defines performance in an entirely new way. Its key element is an invention of the re-nowned hydraulics specialist Siegfried Eisenmann.

Eisenmann began his engineering career as an engine designer at Porsche. Later he was responsible for the  development of the legendary NSU TT and TTS engines, and in particular the trochocentric internal gear pump, which is used as a lubricant pump in engines and transmissions. Virtually every renowned automotive manufacturer in the world uses his patents.

Böhm+Wiedemann has now obtained the right to use Eisenmann’s latest hydraulic invention.

SCALAX - A revolution

in hydraulic drives

Our customers in the Formula 1 racing world, the aerospace industry and in the field of research and development impose stringent requirements for solution expertise, quality, speed and on-time delivery. They demand uncompromising solutions.

In developing these solutions, we rely on our  tradition of precision mechanical engineering  together with advanced CNC technology to design  and manufacture precision parts from all types of metal, plastic, and other materials. Our range extends from prototypes, test samples, component parts, series, assemblies, up to complete functional units.
Our latest product is especially pioneering: It represents a veritable revolution in hydraulic drives.

We are pleased to be able to

present Scalax to you.

The new Scalax hydraulic drive addresses the problems associated with a key component of orbital hydraulic drives, the cardan shaft. This component, which operates on the  universal-joint principle originating in the 1930s, has been a decisive factor in the designs of all orbital hydraulic drives up to now. It generates a tumbling motion in the power section of the drive that imposes severe constraints on optimising factors such as durability, noise emissions and performance curves.

Now the cardan shaft is gone,
opening the way to previously inconceivable performance improvements and potential uses.
