Improved starting characteristics
Starting torque is outstanding at more than 90% of the theoretical torque. In addition, the torque output is constant thanks to dramatically reduced torque pulsation, and the ramp-up is jerk-free.

Better efficiency curves at a higher level
The average torque level of the Scalax drive surpasses previous drives by up to 45%. Higher torque is achieved at low speeds. No need to reduce the allowable pressure when a broader running gear set is used for higher torque.

Long life thanks to robust shaft bearings
In addition to considerably reduced wear, noise emissions are lower and oil contamination is reduced.

More power with less weight
The Scalax drive achieves an overall efficiency of at least 92%. It enables compact construction with high torque and has a low weight-to-torque ratio. A brake can be integrated into the unit. Braking energy can be recovered and reused when the drive is used as a wheel motor.
